Dear All,
Since most of you are professionals and who have been in the HR profession for quite some time I am sure this is the right forum to ask this question. When you recruit management trainees, what essentially are you looking for? I mean I know its kind of a funny question. I am doing my M.B.A right now specializing in HR.I mean at the end of the year everyone in the HR field will be having the same thing on their C.V. By that I mean a Post graduate certificate,2 month summer internship, 2-3 projects,a certificate on inter-college debates, quiz etc..What differentiating factors are you looking for in a candidate that makes him stand out from the crowd? What are the broad parameters on which you judge a candidate and select him?
It would be great if get some answers to this as it would really help in my shaping my career and securing a good job.
Love & Regards,
Ganesh

Hi Fren,
The first thing a HR personnel looks at is for the Communication skills.
Secondly, we look at the aptitude of practical implementation of their theoretical knowledge.
Followed by situation analysis, judgement capability, etc.
