---------------------------------

Hi all,

This is not a forward… This is a fact happened to my friend and I just wanted to share with you all so that you will all be careful about yourselves... Please don't think like some one has sent me this mail and I am forwarding that…It's me (Swetha) sending this mail on behalf of my very best friend. Please don't ask for name; I don't want to mention that.

On March 13th 2008 my friend had to go Mehdipatnam from Kothaguda. It was around 9:30 P.M. She was waiting for bus in the Kothaguda bus stop. As she dint find any bus coming, she thought of going in share auto (4 seater) till Gachibowli. She saw one auto coming. In that auto there was one person sitting with driver. After that another person asked driver whether it goes to Gachibowli or not. As the driver told it will go, then that guy got into that auto... My friend saw all these and she also got into the auto…Auto started... And in each and every stop that driver is asking for people telling "Gachibowli.. Gachibowli..." One more guy got into the auto in the next stop… I guess you all know JayaBheri Silicon Valley… At that place there is a road towards IIIT… That auto driver turned the auto into that route… My friend asked him "Bhayya… kyoo aisa jaarey…seeda ja sakthey na…(Brother, why are you going in this way… go in the straight route..)"…Then auto driver replied like "no madam…there is a short cut…" After moving few yards he turned to left, where there is no proper road way at least…The guy sitting with my friend shouted telling "Don't you know the routes…Naya Hai ka Hyderabad ko (Are you new to Hyd) … Then the driver dint reply anything… and in one lonely place he stopped the auto… The guy who got into the auto in the next stop got down and came to the other side of the auto where my friend is sitting and he pushed her inside and closed her mouth… and the other guy sitting beside her hold her hands… the person sitting in the front grabbed her gold chain… Gold chain was little strong and as he continuously pulling that she got rashes on her neck and it started bleeding… auto driver pulled her hand bag… which contains one mobile, 7500/- cash and many more things… they took her finger ring also… When she started shouting, that driver told, "Kya rape karna hai kya… kyue chillarey… rape karkey fake dunga…" she was trying to put her leg outside and tried to show her leg, so that if one sees that they can save her… but no one came there… finally after taking all the things they throwed her outside telling "Sorry madam… paisa ka inthejaam mein…"

She is alone and with out a single rupee in her hand… she walked towards road… she found some tents where the construction people stay… She explained the complete story with one family and she asked for help… Luckily they are good enough to help her and they came with her and dropped her in her house… And they explained like "This place is called as MASJID BANDA and these things happen here frequently… you are lucky that they dint do anything for you… Usually these auto drivers will rape the girls, Kill them and they trough them in Durgamcheruvu…"

This is not either MUMBAI or BANGLORE… Now this is in Hyderabad… Please don't stay in office or any place after 7:30… No one will be responsible if something happens to us… Be careful… I just wanted to warn you all… Thanks for sparing time to read this…

And one more thing is no one of us are strong enough to drop a police complaint on these idiots being in the scare of future problems… these fellows are roaming outside without any fear... Please take care…Remember that you are responsible for yourself…

Girls be aware here after and guys inform your friends to be aware...

Rgds

Hi
I think girls cannot be kept indoors even if going out means danger.
Some tips to use:
1. Always carry a pen knife to defend yourself.
2. Be alert and buddy up when going out.
3. Always set up a speed dial on your mobile that you can dial without looking
4. Always let someone know where you are going and what time you have to be somewhere.
5. Always make sure that you alert someone as soon as you feel something is not right (eg. going a short cut or suspicious people joining you on your ride) - get off the vehicle quickly and catch some other ride.
Hope the above will help our girls to stay safe.
Cheers

Seems to be part of daily news tabloid.
Suggestively girls can have a small spray in there purse which can be used in situations where they feel threat or insecure.
The spray has MIRCHI LIQUID which paralyses the such criminals immediately when sprayed on face.
Simultaneously the girl should seek immediate help, if moving on an isolated road (have the police control room number in your mobile in fast dial mode) call on police control room.

I'm glad you shared this incident. But the answer lies in being able to do something positive about it, like noting down the Auto No and reporting to the police, rather than accept a defeatist attitude. As our society progresses, these law and order problems will have to be resolved by pro-active actions on our part.IT firms must have helplines available on each employee's mobile where one can dial immediately for an active response.

Hi all,

I know, what happened was inhumane and bad. But the question is, aren't you people overreacting to the entire issue? Not only we people but also the media.

Robbery, loot, Murder, Kidnaps, blackmailing happen to everybody, around the world, both with males as well as females. An additional crime with women is rape. But the point is it is just another crime! Why so much of hue AND CRY OVER THE ISSUE?

We need not be sentimental about these things. Yes, as a human being, it gives a bad taste and creates a sense of insecurity and frustration, when any such incident happens in our proximity.

But making a crime a bigger issue just because the sufferer is a female, does not make any sense. Let us accept it, face it and be ready for it.Thats it. Stillsuch things may happen, and they will happen, no matter how well yoyu are equipped and how strong the policization is.

I know, many of you wont buy these ideas of mine, but the sooner we accept the facts, the better we will be to handle such crimes.

Hi Swetha, I used to leave there in HB colony. Even being a male, I have faced the same problem. Once I lose my chain and few hundred while coming back from my office to home. The immediate i just changed my residence. That's only what I thought of and done it. It is not whether you are off late working. Please be sure while joining any company whether they are providing any dropping facility or not or make your own arrangements.
