Dear all,
I have recently joined an travel company which has a size of around 150+ employees.Lot of its processes are manually done foe eg, leave, payroll, salary slip, performance appraisal which takes lot of time and energy.
I think that an HRIS will be a value addition to our organization as we are growing and getting automated when we are small will eventually help in future.
I want to understand from you all that is it feasible thing in terms of money and time. What is the cost(cost would be a major contraint), how long does this process normally take etc.?
Only once i have your suggestions i will be able to put it across to the management ?
Looking forward to your valuable guidance.
Regards

JHuma,
I have worked as an HRIS consultant for 10 years and in the HR software industry for 15. During that time I have put HR systems in place probably a 100 or more companeis smaller than yours. The benefits of automating the tracking of employee data is just as important to your company as it is for a 500 employee company. Maybe even more so based on the fact that you are likely the only HR representative.
What you are going to spend on a system varies tremendously. Systems can range from a few thousand dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
If you want to see what these systems are capable of, take a look at my web site, CompareHRIS.com and make sure and access the HRIS selection tool. This will give you a good idea of what are the most common features and options with todays HRIS applications.
Let me know if there is anything you need from me.
Thanks,
ClayS

Hi,
I would Like to know if HRIS is useful in a very small firm where there are just 15 - 20 employees. The firm in which i am working as a HR - Executive is a new company and does not have many employees. I would like more information about HRIS.
Thanking You.
