Help seniors...urgent
Dear all it s been long i haven t posted anything either any query nor any hr material.... actually i was just in a flux o guys really need your advise as now dealing with the serious trouble i am actually in hr but as i have shifted to new job it s more admin job rather than hich these people havn t told me before...i was told something else but was given something else but still continuing with it as i am doing my thought that i should stick to this company so as to gain experience till my education gets over and also stability would be maintained ut now whatever i have planed is really not happening initially my boss is very difficult person to handle...he only knows how to shout rest nothing is own concepts are not really clear but he posses as if he know all eways this not the thing but the worst part is that if we do take initiative and design something he says "why have you done ave no to and if we doesn t he says"you need to be more pro up with nfact once we both agreed to our disagreements on the same n fact once i told him very clearly that "at times i don t understand what exactly you want" but ever since that argument happened he has made my working place a totally mess for me e tries to find out any mistake ...and pressurize me even if we are not much pressed on work e tries to demoralize me with his bloody politics...in a way entire has been victimized but this time it is poor me just can t handle nitially thought of quitting but considering my studies and current market situation...i understand that it is not a feasible idea plz guide friends how to handle such personality.... should i quit????this guy is really sick have been giving my 100 to things but he doesn t acknowledges...it makes me demoralize lz help seniors thanks shweta
Employment bond and new addendums to it
Hi i am employed with a reputed midsized it services company in pune. mine was campus recruitment and at the time of joining my father was made to sign a bond stating that i shall continue to work with them for 2 years or pay rs 2 lacs if i quit before that. i signed the joining letters in good faith. the promised training was only a one month session and after that for the past one year i am yet to be assigned to a real project. no wonder i did not get an appraisal because i never worked on a billable project. that apart i have by large enjoyed my association with my colleagues and seniors. of late the company hr has been asking all employees to sign a no hire clause which states employees cannot join any client client competitor and so on for a period of one year from the date i leave the company. i am not convinced by this restrictive clause and feel this will stifle my already stagnating career. i have avoided signing it but now the hr has been pressurizing me and at time making veiled threats we will make your exit procedure difficult etc. i am totally stressed and discomforted by this and finally had no choice but to resign citing the mentioned reason. they are yet to reply or accept my letter. now the threats have increased and i am being warned of legal notice withholding my salary/pf experience letter relieving letter etc. i feel victimized because of my refusal to sign addendums to the hire letter. this unprofessional behavior by a certain section of the company surprises me as i have always put my best for the company and have been appreciated for my work earlier. i continue to go on doing my work as usual but feel the pressure and an environment of threat. was i right in refusing to sign a onesided clause and resigning on those grounds? please suggest what would be my options in such condition. thanks roshan
Victimisation of an workmen who is union leader himself
Dear seniors here is interesting case for professionals and i request your valuable guidance to deal the matter. santosh is union leader and working in a mnc company for last 25 years. several times he had been active participant of workmen wage negotiations agreement as president of the legally registered union. however management never appreciated santosh as union leader and has been on look out for every single opportunity to cow him down especially in past three years when he opted to be out of union activities. he has been very witty and never could be caught doing wrong more so management did not do it openly till recently as he had been president of employees union on and off during his service till recently. about three years ago when he was not union office bearer he was issued charge sheet for sleeping charges and domestic enquiry was conducted and proved to be guilty and was coerced to be terminated. as the circumstances were not favoring santosh gave under taking of not repeating such or similar misconduct including he would not be contesting union election in future and desist from union activities for minimum next two years. management got this undertaking on rs. 100 stamp paper and witnesses were then union office bearers as part to this undertaking. management exhibited a notice informing employees in general about the commitment of santosh to management and the consequences he would suffer in case of default. the notice continues to be on the notice board for more than two years which is shear harassment to santosh. recently as the two years period expired santosh contested the union elections and got elected but this time not as a president but as a general member of the union body. management had sent loud feeler to santosh not to contest union elections and now to the newly elected panel of not holding the discussions unless they bar the santosh from their union panel. new union panel asked santosh to resign as a union panel member due to managements insistence and this would facilitate coopt any other member of their choice to complete the union panels minimum number as per bylaws. santosh explained the union panel he would not resign but would cooperate with them by opting to be not in the union panel as active member. management being unhappy about this hooked santosh in small petty matter such as breaking the queue in the employee canteen during the lunch recess and second case of arguing with security for lodging the complaint against him of breaking the queue in the canteen. because of coercive tactics and out of sheer power of position the concerned officers and that they are successful in creating a terror to not stand up and support santosh he is helpless and that his union committee too is not able to extend support out of fear and harassment form the management he is singled out santosh is being vehemently victimized and not able to take fight with management fearing of a captive punishment. . request what lawful remedies are available to santosh and if really he could be terminated assuming that santosh so far has tried all other options except falling on the feets of the concerned officials or o sot say management. . thanking you in anticipation of your valuable advices. w narendra

Is it true that the supply of hr is more than its demand and this can be one of the reason why many hr people are unemployed? only big companies have a big team of hr but small companies have 1 hr or in some companies no hr at all. in such a scenario should one go for hr. other functions like marketing accounts finance customer etc have a large scope. kindly explain is hr a safe and secured profession?
