Dear Pramod,

PA interview is one of the crucial interview in org. In this intvw both the superior and subordinate needs not only good preparation but also a rehearsal ( individually of course ). The objective set for this should not be increment or any perks, monetary, gain, but , motivation for performing better, appreciation for what has been achived and encouragement to do better where improvement required.

An appraisee, he needs to enter the interview room, cheerful, carrying a positive attitude. You should also carry your self- appraised form copy , which will be already marked by you. Any point of difference occured in the rankings should be discussed and not debated. You need to use the imp tool named communication skill very properly and modestly.

Qs like, ur appraiser might say or point out one incidence where u had made a mistake , admit it honestly if you have done it and ensure him that you will be more responsible and do your job more efficiently. Incase , the mistake done in the job (in that particular incidence) is not done by you and your appraiser misunderstood it, then use this opportunity to remove his misunderstanding, but dont put the blame on some one else to show urself genuine. Help the appraiser to understand that incidence or the error whatever happend correctly. It will help him to grow his insight . Concepts like kindness towards others, team work, willing to put in more , strive for perfection should reflect from your words and action during the intervw. But above all be honest and polite in all of ur intervw. Set the goals and objectives mutually with ur appraiser. If you are able to do this , and the end the objectives of both appraise and the appraisee will be met successfully.

Team, please help him out, if I have missed any.

Regards,

Moushmi

Hi Pramod
As Moushmi said be clear of what you have done and also about your future plans. You must be able to express what you have achieved till date and what all plans you have in mind which will be mutually beneficial.
Always remember, the Management / Seniors dont like to be pointed for mistakes / errors even if its clearly visible its not urs. So be clear and relaxed during the process. It shows your confidence and stability.
All the Best.
