I joined recently 'n to my surprize, my ceo asked me to design d leave policy with every freedom. Mine is a small ITES company. Can anyone help me in designing d leave policy? U can share d process followed in ur company or can explain d procedure of calculating d leave.
I hope it will b great experience of being a member of a forum where there are only HR professionals.

Hi! One clarification on why we can keep leaves for Calendar Year rather than Financial year....any significance or major impact??

Leave policy can be based on the following contents:
1) Objective
2) Scope - CL,SL, PL
3) Table of entitlement - Type of leave, Quantum of leave, Leave accumulation, eligibilty
4) EL leave bank - pay band wise
5) CL leave bank - pay band wise
6) SL leave bank - pay band wise
7) Maternity leave - 12 weeks
8) Any other additional features as per your company culture
9) Leave Application form
