Dear friends,
compromising on the experience is also not been an easy task, i have been trying to place someone for a project leader, who would lead the team and involves in the entire life cycle of the project, the one with lesser experience hardly has exposure in the entire life cycle....... :(
Any inputs?????????

Hi Sari, Amit and others,

Compromises are never easy. Be it in personal life or professional life. Rather I should say in social context or in professional context.

Everybody likes to be on the side which gains in any situation. This is not possible for employers (specially smaller organisations) in recruitment front.

Regarding 'experience' I would like to repeat that it may be less number of years, less no. of encounters etc. But its certainly not 'less exposure'.

It makes things more difficult. But here comes the role of the head of organisation. In tall structures there is going to be problems of this kind. For a small organisation, there is need for flat and lean structure with head / incharge having more and more involvement in supporting the functionaries.

Ofcourse this will be hampered by 'span of control' of leader and also require him to be an expret with great leadership skills. Further, the organisation will require to look at its aspiration for growth. In this type of situations, trying to grow fast will be not advisable.

The last para is not directly related to your discussions, but I felt to share my thoughts.
