DEAR FRIEND,

THE GENERAL FORMAT TO WRITE A PROJECT REPORT IS AS FOLLOWS:

INTRODUCTION

PROFILE OF COMPANY

OBJECTIVES AND METHODOLOGY

FINDINGS OF THE STUDY

CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

INTRODUCTION COMPRISES THE THEORETICAL ASPECTS ABOUT CHANGE (DEFINITION, TYPES, WHY AND HOW) AND TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT (DEFINITION, TYPES, WHY AND HOW) AND RELATION BETWEEN CHANGE AND T&D. YOU CAN PICK THIS FROM ANY WEBSITE OR ACADEMIC TEXT. ALSO U SHOULD ADD ONE HEADING CALLED, "NEED FOR STUDY" AND HERE U SHOULD MENTION WHY DO U FEEL THERE IS RELATION BETWEEN CHANGE AND T&D.

PROFILE OF COMPANY IS ABOUT THE COMPANY, ITS MISSION, HISTORY, TOTAL EMPLOYEES AND GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT IT AND U CAN GET THIS FROM THE COMPANY MANUAL.

OBJECTIVES AND METHODOLOGY - THIS IS HARDLY A PAGE AND HALF AND THIS IS THE BACKBONE OF UR REPORT. IT SHOULD CONTAIN THE BROAD OBJECTIVES/AIMS OF STUDY. YOU SHOULD USE ACTION VERBS LIKE, EXAMINE, IDENTIFY, COMPARE, ASSESS, DESCRIBE, EVALUATE ETC.

METHODOLOGY CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING HEADINGS:

1. SCOPE OF STUDY

2. DATA COLLECTION SOURCES, PRIMARY AND SECONDARY

3. SAMPLING TECHNIQUE AND SAMPLE SIZE

4. COMPILATION

5. CHAPTERIZATION

5. LIMITATIONS OF STUDY

FINDINGS OF STUDY INVOLVES THE DATA GATHERED USING INTERVIEW/QUESTIONNAIRE/OBSERVATION ETC. U MUST COMPUTE THIS DATA EITHER USING FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTIONS OR ANY OTHER STATISTICAL TECHNIQUE. IF U R USING HYPOTHESIS, THEN U MUST TEST THE HYPOTHESIS USING CHI-SQUARE TEST OR THE LIKE. YOUR TABULATIONS SHOULD BE ADORNED WITH GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATIONS AND SUBSTANTIATE WITH SUITBLE INTERPRETATIONS.

CONCLUSIONS - INVOLVES GIVING UR OPINION ON THE STUDY. UR IDEAS ON WHAT THINGS ARE LIKE OR NOT LIKE.

RECOMMENDATIONS - BASED ON CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS/SUGGESTIONS ARE GIVEN. SUGGESTIONS SHOULD BE PRACTICAL AND APPLICATION FRIENDLY.

CHEERS,

DR. PRAGEETHA

Dear Dr. Prageetha.

I beg to differ with your statement above "OBJECTIVES AND METHODOLOGY - THIS IS HARDLY A PAGE AND HALF AND THIS IS THE BACKBONE OF UR REPORT. IT SHOULD CONTAIN THE BROAD OBJECTIVES/AIMS OF STUDY. YOU SHOULD USE ACTION VERBS LIKE, EXAMINE, IDENTIFY, COMPARE, ASSESS, DESCRIBE, EVALUATE ETC.

"

In UK universities, the methodology section needs to be more substantial. I do not know at which university the specification given by you is enough.

I would suggest that the readers also refer to my posts at CiteHr. An extract from one of the posts is given under.

Please see my post on Research Methodology (Ppt slides attached) at https://www.citehr.com/106849-research-projects.html and Author Workshops at <link outdated-removed> and my post at <link no longer exists - removed>

I am not sure if you have read any literature on questionnaire design. If not, go to questionnaire design + guidelines - Google Search= Also see <link outdated-removed> where an MBA project is attached as an example.

A Post by Prodcons also has information on Research Methodology.

Here is a good site, but an expensive one, that has guides for projects.
