Hey Tom, :)
I hve been a member here for almost a year now...n have read majority of the posts, but never got to reply really to lot of posts...i think we all need to do Kudos to YOU :D for what You did in your previous awards! I'm sure its brought those regular memebers to light who have been major contributors of information.withought who this site would not have progressed as it has.
now coming to this set of awards,I think it depends totally on the requirement of the individual! Like I'm a management student, which is why....sites such as Google and Citehr are fo great importance!
My VOTE's would go to:
1. Google.com (would include gmail.com and orkut.com)
2. Citehr.com (i would definitely want to list it as no. 1....but the pool of data on google is far more..so sorrry Siddharth sir!)
3. Yahoo.com
4. Facebook.com
5. Limewire.com (hail for all the vast collection of songs and movies i have!)
These are my top favourites!
Regards
Radhika :D

Hi Tom & Jerry,

I think you are wasting the making the Cite HR as unwanted site, which is not used for the purpose of it being started by Sid. Just because you have started announcing the winner, of the Cite HR awards, do the winners get any recognition or additional value in their career.

Just because you asked the people to vote for the best websites, what are the parameters, they need to see to vote for. Because each and every website is unique. So you can't rate them as top 10 websites. Moreover, the websites are rated based on the hits, it is being get in a day. So the statistics of top websites are keep changing everyday. If that is the case, most of adult content websites comes in top ten, you know the reason why.

Again if u want to prove the Cite HR among the top ten, then you are going to fail, as if you see the people are rating it in almost at the last place.

So you want to make cite hr as one of the top website, then post the valuable hr related content, so that, more people will hit the website and it will automatically become top website, instead of making this unwanted posts like this.

Hi all,

Did I said anything wrong? If yes tell me how?

Hello Preet
Can u please study the meaning of "Knowledge grows when shares”
If Tom is posted a post saying that "share the best websites"
I THINK HIS/HER AIM is fine and not wasting to making the Cite HR as unwanted site.
And i think Tom is not asked to give TOP 10 sites asked to put your best sites only no need to give top 10. and anyway best or TOP 10, Tom going to annouce later right.
Others please comment.

Hi Amit & Joseph,
I appreciate your valued points. What is the purpose of starting this thread? You are telling that, Tom asked for only best sites, and if you know each individual will vary on the likings and everyone will give different opinion.
To vote best sites, the people should have gone thru all the websites (which is in millions or billions) then only they can decide based on its layout, contents etc, which is the best site. Is it possible?
Otherwise Tom should have done, like giving ten or twenty best sites as per his rankings and ask the people to rate it according to their interests and tastes. If it would have been HR related it would have had more light and would be helpful to the HR fraternity.
Your opinion pls.

Hi Preet.
I think this Awards / Best Website is not based on its layout, contents etc.
It is based on THE BEST INFORMATION/ QUALITATIVE INFORMATION...
Like Citehr is Best for HR related inoformation. and in the same way other sites are best in there ouw categories.
And people need not to go all the websites, only need to vote according to his/her best sites where he/she getting/taking/giving more information.
Please comment.
Mr. Tom please comment on the same.
Thanks
Amit

Hi Amit,

Same thing I told, the best website can be decided based on its contents (you have mentioned it as informations) and how it looks, and how easy to access etc. When you say your choice, it is not necessary that me and others should acknowledge the same. I like different sites as best sites. I have observed in this thread, the people are generally mentioning, yahoo, gmail, orkut, wipro, and cite hr. Yahoo and gmail are widely accepted as mail service providers, orkut , ibibo etc for social networking, at last only people are mentioning about cite hr. (Just review again the post by the members)

Ultimately by finding out the best sites what Tom is going to do. If it is just for info, then why the result date is announced, and what he is going to announce? The best sites? in what order. What are the things considered by him for rating them as a best site. (Similar kind of thread about the statistics of Cite HR users, he has released few days back and got very bad acceptance by the Cite HR members)

Is Tom authorized to announce the best sites, if yes, who is the authority given the powers to him.

Anyways, this is the concern of mine and many HR professionals, for being the Cite HR is not used for its own purpose. If you see many good members of Cite HR is leaving or not accessing this now a days because the poor quality.

The people whom Tom announced as the winners for their contribution, are not using Cite HR now a days, because of its poor quality of contents.

There is a thread today I have seen which is " Rajnikanth Facts". No one can understand what that person would tried to convey in this or on what he /she has spoken about.

Check this out and reply.
