hi:
Yes we did it last year... we asked all women employees to dress in sarees and men's to dress in kurta/pyjama...
And in evening some employees performed a skit on showing women's role in day-to-day life...
Then we presented flower, cards and gifts to all women staff...
And this year..we are planning to distribute cards to all staff...where they will write good qualities of one women staff as why they like her...
(one card-one women)..
The women getting more cards..will get gift..4 her best nature...
Also we will give chocolates and some gifts to all women..
Let me know if you have any more ideas...
Thanks & Regards
Gladys

Hi Gladys,
I am sure you guys rocked by doing such event. I have some ideas:
Dress: Traditional wear. It could be a saree or anything according to their custom or place.
Activity: We had set a few competitions for female employees like flower arrangements, debate, ek minute.
Judges: voting poll only by male employees.
Best Female Employee Award.
Special dinner arranged which was selected by Female employees.
Trust me it will be great fun.
Regards,
Vinitha.

yes.....my company believes that International Women’s Day Celebration is a key part of being an Equal Opportunities Employer.
We hold debates on Women's Rights, organize self defence classes, ensure women are properly counselled on handling sexual advances at the workplace, etc.
Successful women from the company participate as key note speakers and inspire other employees to tread on the same path!
Hope this helps!!!

Hi,
we celebrated Women's Day last year and this year also we are planning for it. We have bought some gifts for all the women employees and would also go for lunch.
Apart from this, for all the married male employees, we hav bought gifts for their wives.

Hi...
Yes... we too celebrated last year and have plans for this year. All women employees were in traditional dress. When they entered office a warm welcome was given to all women employees with a rose bouquet by another male colleague.
And in the evening cake cutting and we distributed gifts to women employees. Few sang songs too. It was great fun. And this event was captured in our quarterly Magazine too.
Wish all the women folks of this forum a VERY HAPPY WOMENS DAY :D

We did celebrate last year. We had asked all the women employees to wear sarees and had a get togather. We had decided to do some good work. Many had volunteered themselves to keep the surrounding clean, and some had come forward to work with our charitable organization, for which our oragnaisation is funding. Then we had a lunch out togather. It was fun too.
