Friends
We have seen a wonderful ending to the CB Series in Australia. The Indian Team under the wonderful leadership of MAHENDER SINGH DHONI conquered the unconquered. They beat australia in their own country. This is a team effor in total. But the man behind it is no doubt DHONI.
If we are looking at his decisions, its marvelous.
1. He made every one feel that he is one among them.
2. He believed in the one who failed in the series. At crucial times players who were not able to deliver the whole series done miracles.
3. He believed in every member in the team.
Dont you think that its a kind of leadership that is required even in the corporates??

Hi All,
It is really a good message for the Corporate world.
Dhoni is really a good team Leader. How he brings his team to a common platform towards a common goal to win the match. Similarly, all the mid level and top level managers should develop the leadership qualities (Which is very difficult to find as per my personal experience) to bring their teams' morale to achieve short term and long term goals of the organization in the corporate world.
Thanks,

Hi all,

Well Dhoni;s Initiate and experimental approach made difference to this sparkling victory of TEAM INDIA. Its young generation who brought phenomenal change in Indian cricket history.

Initially most of us were believed that what this young team will do against world champs. Youngester would stumble against World champs.

If we observe there are few combinations who converted historical victory.

India act over Aussie sledging, where these youngsters believe in aggession on the field which turned to positive point for India. You must be knowing saying " Lohe ko Loha katata Hai". Youngsters became more determined and The backlash worked for India. In short, Dhoni led his young side well and used his bowlers intelligently.

In the end, the class of Sachin Tendulkar came through in telling fashion giving us another example that the little master's career is far from over even now.

Big thanks to selection committee Chairman Dilip Vengsarkar who took risk and shown confidence in youngsters.

But I do not think this is the start of a bad run for the Aussies. They still remain a tough nut to crack and will bounce back soon.

In a nutshell, those who are resistance to change will bring their value down and led to slow growth. It is always been said that young blood will transform the traditional way of working to any of the corporate. Establish change as constant of business in todays competitive world, search for new ways to organize work, recognize and realize the potential of new technology.

Cheers!!!!!

You are absolutely correct. Generally Manager or Seniors always try to show their seniority. If they don't have knowledge about any matter after that they show that they are correct and shout on juniors. Youngster have good IQ, they have potential >Seniors should be like Indian team captain Dhoni, Who believes on his team. He gives chance to them.
Ur subject are really excellent.

How about the match fixing dear. I don’t think India can do this without having a match fixing controversy involved.

:) That is good observation to learn one point lessons from leadership styles from successful people around us from all walks of life.
Besides the points mentioned there, I would like to add one lesson we HR professional can draw is :
1 One should be performer and to demonstrate the same to our team. Performance is itself most effective communication down the line
2 Second Leader has to be humble in way to consider part and parcel of the team and not above the team
3 Genuine respect and trust to his team members
4. Allow them to experiment and take risk.
5. In case of failure, encourage him / her to introspect and do it next time with more vigour and better planning.

Hi
It is too early to make an observation. One series wont give enough facts.
Having faith on people is very important. If he fails in two matches, then we will talk about his bad judgement.
If we had lost this game, definitely there would have been hue and cry about dropping Shewag and including Yuvaraj in the playing eleven. Evn for that matter, Shewag should have replaced Uthappa and the runs he would have scored might have been more than Uthappa.
Australia did not do well. That is important. We did as usual.
Is he a great leader.... I think we need to wait and see

Hi HR ppl,

there is a lot of difference between work life and cricket life.

1 One should be performer and to demonstrate the same to our team. Performance is itself most effective communication down the line

This is true, and I agree with IT.

2 Second Leader has to be humble in way to consider part and parcel of the team and not above the team

No one considers this, in todays world, each leader wants to be the BOSS.

3 Genuine respect and trust to his team members

Very few leaders do in reality

4. Allow them to experiment and take risk.

YOU WANT ME TO LOSE MY JOB OR WHAT , ,even if SACHIN and DHONI have a win-lose ratio of 1:99, the indian govt and their supporter will give them more than enough to feed their 10 GENERATIONS , same is not the case with me... PAL... I have to win everytime, if I lose, I can see only termination letter.

5. In case of failure, encourage him / her to introspect and do it next time with more vigour and better planning.

YOU WANT ME TO LOSE MY JOB OR WHAT , ,even if SACHIN and DHONI have a win-lose ratio of 1:99, the indian govt and their supporter will give them more money than enough to feed their 10 GENERATIONS , same is not the case with me... PAL... I have to win everytime, if I lose, I can see only termination letter.

Hi LoveBird..( Sorry i dont know the name)

You said some thing which are right.. I would be very happy to see a LEADER who didnt take risk.. We can say even a calculated Risk. People grow not just by working, but by working wisely and qualitatively. Again its my opinion.

I have few things which every HR Risks.. The first one is

RECRUITMENT, We recruit a person with a wish that he works well and for long in the company. Who can gurantee that?? Its a Risk whether its a high level recruitment or fresher. In the same way HR takes lots of risks in the work.

I hope there wont be any CEO or MD of a company who dont risk in their every day work process.

If coming to cricket.. I love the game..I find it as a means of spending time with family also. Every one has their own way of relaxing, and this is one of my best

If i have a fear that i will lose my job if i take any risky decision then i am not confident on my skills. If am not confident on my skills then there is no point in taking any risks. Its Just Like That
