Wat do you think, a well established Marketing department or a well efficient HR system will be more imporatnt for an Organisation, please comment,,

HR OR MARKETING
Both are equally important to the organization.
You need marketing to sell what HR helps/ supports to produce.
You need HR to produce what the market wants , so marketing
can sell / satisfy the needs / wants of the market.
BUT
There is a perception that marketing is more important, because
-it has a higher profile
-it is more visible
-its impact on the organization--like sales / profit/branding
etc is visible / felt through the organization.
-is associated strongly with corporative objectives/strategies
-is much more closely aligned with company strategy.
etc
WHEREAS
HR's perception is one of backroom role
-supporting role
-lacks visibility
-even though it is equally/ closely related to company strategy,
its impact is not visible.
etc
ALL THESE PERCEPTIONS TEND TO PRESENT
MARKETING AS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HR,
WHEN IT IS NOT.
YOU MUST REMEMBER , THAT,
MARKETING ITSELF IS RUN BY HR [ HUMAN BEINGS]
