Hello Seniors.Pleast accept my regards.
I am pursuing MBA (4th semester ).I don't have to move to college for this semester as there are no studies at all. I am looking out for a job in HR.our college is not very good at HR placements. I always wanted to join a company job but Most of the companies look for experienced people.I am receiving many calls from Consultancies but the package they are offering is very low say around 1.2 lac. Is it the right package one should accept as a fresher after spending 5 lacs on MBA.I am very confused. Please help...
Looking forward to early responses from all of you

Dear Jasminder,
Since your college did not support you in placement, you will have to hunt a job by urself. I know that its realy ironic getting a job of 10k after spending so much on studies.
I have seen people who have spent money like you and started with consultancies. But you please dont give up. 10K is the minimum salary to start with. You can still try and find a better opportunity. You can write to me at if you need any kind of suggestions.
Wish you all the best.

Dear Jasminder,
Well explained by Deepa.
As your Institute is not helping you in placement, then definitely you have to search a job at your own.. you may start your career with the package offered. But apart from t
his, upload your CV with different Job portals as well as through direct link of company.. And register yourself with leading consultancies in your surroundings..
Am sure will definitely help you to get a good opportunity.
Wish you all the best..

Dear jazz,
Better you can join first with consultancy. Why means you can learn a lot of things about the recruitment and also u can easily get the job in recruitment firm as a fresher. But after u got the experience switch to corporates because as a fresher getting the job in Hr field is quite too tuff. "ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR FUTURE ENDAVEOURS" :D
