Hi !!
I would like to share my experience, I was working with a five hotel in Sydney. And i found the work culture is totally different. In India esp in hotel industry the manager is very bossy and strict its more like working with the school principal. Whereas the Aussie managers are cool just opposite to our managers. We had our new manager from Germany she was bossy and strict. All my aussie colleagues started hating her and nobody wanted to work with her. And we Indians were comfortable because we were used to this kind of leadership. In short cool aussie manager is effective in Australia but not in India and Germany (there work culture is same as India's), vise versa.. The German Manager was aware of her situation and she gradually adapted the aussie work culture.
