Hello seniors
Myself Jyoti sharma employed as a HR executive cum Manager at a Maruti Suzuki dealership. my problem is tht Tata motors is going to start their dealership in our town after one month.
Till today our dealership is the only automobile dealer in our town. but bcz of the opening of another dealer most of our employees are planning to migrate there. but we dont want this to happen. bcz all of our employees are experienced and we dont want to loose them.
So i need ur valuable suggestions to minimise the migration.

The alternative to that can be....Make them aware of the opportunities that they can have staying here also start interacting with them to understand what are they aspiring and what can make them stay..
It also depends on the practices you are currently following for employee engagement.. which gives you a better understanding as to how satisfied they are.
Thanks

You may start interacting with the employees through training / seminar on employees benefits in your organisation.

Employees, who has decided to go, they will definetly go. Because, they might have experienced such incident from the company, which they might not be forgotten...like lack of fulfilment of commitment by the management, misbehave by superiors, etc....

You may construe them regarding company's latest developments time to time, what is happening in market irrespective of company's image in market, what are the new changes are coming in your company, what are the benefits employees and their family are getting from your company. some seniors always visit to your field staff on routine basis for some appreciations in choras.

Introduce some new HR initiatives in your company, which your competitors may not be able to introduce. Like make an appraisal process twice in a year. After rating to employees, you may give some monetory benefits based on their rating/appraisal.

Out of that, some initiatives, which you may not be initiate. But you can give your suggestions to your management.

After all, it's not a matter of your personal problem, as a loyal employee of your organisation, you must immediately highlight this problem with your views to your management. They will definately take some suitable / healthy steps to come out of this problem.

I will never advocate winding up the show. Maruti vehicles have its own popularity and most wanted vehicle today in our Country. Infra structure facility is available throughout the Country. This vehicle can be repaired if it is required at any place and all the auto mechanics are trained.

Poaching is quite common in any Industry and automobile field is not exceptiopnal. Sales people are attracted for the increaased emoluments that they will get with a new car dealer in the town. We cannot increase the present emoluments because of someone is coming afresh and offering better salary.

Call for a meeting of the sales staff and explain to them the advantages in Maruti Vehicles and their experience in selling it to the people. ERxplain to them that their career prospects are good in yiour dealer point.

Insopite of all these efforts someone wants to migrate to the new dealer point of anotyher veheicle, do not get worried. You wuill stay stroing. No one is indispensable.
