SOME M.B.A STUDENTS APPROACHED ME WHO ARE IN THEIR PROJECT INTERNSHIP PERIOD. I CAN GIVE THEM VARIOUS TOPICS AS PROJECTS TITLES, BUT I NEED SOME GUIDENCE FROM ANY ONE OF U.. .. REGARDING HOW TO MAKE THOSE CANDIDATES WORK FOR THEIR PROJECTS AND HOW CAN A COMPANY USE THOSE STUDENTS TO CREATE A WIN-WIN SITUATION
IF POSSIBLE PLEASE EXPLAIN THE STEPS TO BE TAKEN
TO MAKE THE STUDENTS WORK ON THE TOPICS " RECRUITMENT, S0TAFFING" OR "PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL"

HI

luk its very simple to select the topic for project...just u have to take care one thing....that is ...WHAT IS CURRENTLY GOING IN the company?

i did my training at indian oil...at that time recruitments were going on, thats why i selected that topic..and they gave me opportunity to learn about application registeration, maintainig MIS, filling bond, about campus recruitments,...and u have to show them that u r doing training to learn something, just show ur interest and defently they will involve you.

if something is going around and u r not involved but still u can learn the process thru observation.

another method to select the HR topic- just observe two three days which function is more focussed by hr department. for example if hr focuses on payrolls more as compared to training...the go ahead for compensation benefits topic.

Now you will say mostly organisations do have payroll function, AGREE....but not training is given by all companies, in that case to do different, opt training topic.

if u get training in some good manufacturing firm then i must say forget about project , just focus on learning more and more through observation, interacting with superiors, employees....i m saying all this just it helped me a lot!

in GKN driveline i did project on training and development

i learnt about their process thru observation, sharing feedback, employees' myth about training, organising trainings for employees and managers, training formats and mis.

luk i shared what i experienced and have a great time!

keep smiling!

regards
