i guess the most fundamental quality required of a HR person is unconditional acceptance of people which makes him/her understand that each one is different and has to be treated differently. If this base is strong enough all other allied qualities will follow suit.

According to me a good HR professional should be a good Councellor,Should have a good Communication Skill,and should be a good Mediator between Management and Employees. Padmini

well, what i believe a HR should "Jack of al trades and master of ONE"
and to pusue this,u need to avail mentioned qualities in yourself,
as well a HR is a Brand Ambassoder of an Organization, as well a Mascot, therefore he needs to have mltiple set of personalities bestowed with unmatchable qualities and traits for representing himself as a organizatio himself,
i got a question for you,
can u help me in diffrentiating between character, traits,skills,competencies and ability.

According to me personality traits for a good HR would be ATTITUTE as it is important to deal with lot of people since each person as different attitute. If we HR's are aggressive than difficult to handle the employees. Then GOOD COMMUNICATION, SUBJECT KNOWLEDGE, SINCERITY, SYMPATHY, EGO FREE (no EGO).
