hello frnds,
am a HR of a small IT company.I joined in the month of november,and from them 3 employees have left. i dont know whether its my fault or not. but i wanted to retain the employees.Can anyone help me to understand how to retain the employees......?????? i will be grateful to all.....thank you

Thanks nisha for your suggestion. you know all these are done,but as we are a small company employees are always looking for big companies whre they will get big pay.this is obviously not possible for us but we always try to keep them happy in salary part.but unfortunately the result is not at all acceptable...i want some more way out.please help if its possible for you.....and thanks once again... :)

You should analyze the feedback given by the 3 employees in exit interview.
Try to conduct a survey, online on intranet or on paper, to know the concerns and suggestions of employees. Salary is not the only concern for leaving the job.
Make this survey anonymous, to get a clear picture.
Work on concerns and suggestions with the technical managers.
Schedule quarterly one-to-one meeting between manager and employee to better understand the expectations of employees.
Further, the market is moving fast for IT. You should review the salary structure based on market dynamics. Don't wait for the review cycle, if there is significant change in market.

In a small and new organizations, its very difficult to retain the employees. Because new organizations may not be able to pay high salaries or reward to retain manpower, rather building manpower with strong interpersonal relationships can make them stay together for a long period. Team building, employee welfare initiatives and creating knowledge-sharing environment could be essential strategy.
