How I calculate the gross salary to deduct the ESI of employees. suppose someone is getting 15000 and another is getting 12500 then what will be the gross salary of both pls help me urgent.

I want Abstracts of labour laws for diplay on notice board in local GUJARATI language. But Gujarati copies are not available anywhere in any cities of Gujarat state. Can any body suggest a solution to this problem or the source from where the said abstracts are available in desired language ?

Greetings for the day:)

If you are not able to get the gujrati language copies then you can put Hindi Language abstracts and parellely pursue with nearest Labour Office for the same by written request so that it will be in thier knowledge that gujrati version is not available in market and they will not take any action in its absence

Hi Singh,
ESI is calculated on gross salary>10000(Applicable) .Employee's share is 1.75% and employers share is 4.75%.
Note:Should be calculated on gross salary
Ex:Gross salary:10000
Employee's share:10000*1.75%=175
Employer's share:10000*4.75%=475

Hi, Is this factories act abstract applicable for 2012 also.The one which is attachd here can be put up at notice board? is it updated? pls guide.
