6 soft skills for every hard-nosed professional
Behavioural training experts say there are several soft skills are required in these circumstances. Some of them include:
i. Interpersonal skills
ii. Team spirit
iii. Social grace
iv. Business etiquette
v. Negotiation skills
vi. Behavioural traits such as attitude, motivation and time management
Do you have these? If your answer is yes, good for you.
But if your answer is no, then you know it is time to approach either a training organisation or a training consultant.
Will formal training enhance your soft skills?

hi,,,
im an MBA student... i personally feel that formal training definitely helps in enhancing some aspects of soft skills n not all...
1.Interpersonal skills
2.Team spirit
3.Business etiquette
these can easily be enhanced by means of formal training.. i wud hold myself as an example for this.. i hav been through a month of soft skill trainin in a BPO in which i was employed previously.. it has helped me hone the above mentioned skills to a great extent..
The other skillls which include..
Negotiation skills
Social grace
Behavioural traits such as attitude, motivation and time management
cannot be changed that easily cause these are skills that an individual imbibes and practises over a long period of time.. i feel they can b enhanced only with time by gaining experience and knowledge.. formal trainin can b of little use in these respects...
this is not to say formal trainin is not useful.. they are an integral part in todays global organizations...

Hi
Training becomes effective when training is handled by a competent experienced TRAINER.Like everyone is today a HR PROFESSIONAL,it is a minomer as far a trainer is concerned, when his delivery is not proactive
and the AUDIENCE NOT RECEPTIVE...iT TAKES QUITE AN EFFORT TO 'BREAK THIS ICE' AND IT IS NOT AS SIMPLE AS IT SOUNDS WITH A FEW GAMES!!
So it is not formal training but also constant monitoring and development with appraisals that will turn qualitative training an investment.Soft skills are a 'way of life' modules needing the 'touch to enhance insights '.
