Its a wonderful thought process that you have started cause of a movie.
Children, we must understand that are people of their on rights with their needs, ideas, dreams. They are young- and as we say in "our world" inexperienced. We can guide them for that but we should allow them to make the final choice?
We have to be there for them to help them trust us and thus have an open relationship.I belive we should help them create a trust for us first as they are young and will follow us, our pattern and thought process. Children are very perceptive. Even when we hide, they will spot a wrong mood, anger, negative energy a mile away. Till age of 4 they are highly kinesthetic - a reason why we should give them lots of hugs. These would help them to have confidence in them selves and help grow in to rounded citizens of the world.

dear all,
Tare Zameen Par is not only movie related to child psychology but also an mirror image of us in society.. as someone rightly said we need mentor to guide us and show the way for success, but most important is knowing yourself, your colleagues and your superiors..
As a child we step into organization if we get mentor (boss) like Aamir khan who understands his junior ability and skills and time to time he is able to tap potential within them..
Hats off to such a good movie...

well i do agree what has been shown in the movie. we as a responsible parents should understand our childrens. every child is unique and has his or her pace of learning. We should give him or her some room to cope up with the studies.

Hi All

From my perspective the film highlights the special abilities in every child that needs to be nurtured. But it also says a very important point about the cut throat competition that is so inevitable. In todays world education has been such a mechanised version of achieving only one end--- A good JOB. Most of the education and academics are focussed and designed to achieve the piecemeal TRAINING preached in schools and colleges which we term it as EDUCATION.

To illustrate this with an Example:-How many Schools today are focussed on Subjects like philosophy, literature, sociology and arts.

Most of the concepts of art and literature in our society is not encouraged as it is percieved not to give any significant returns in monetary terms.

The theory of instumentality is highly centralised not the community based learning. The constant push to perform and reach to the other end is so much into the system that creativity is lost and ignored.

In all education practiced today is just another Training to achieve one desired goal. And in this process we all are like products in an assembly line trying to achieve one desired end.

Plz see....and guide... Thanku...

Hi all
Am a member residing in Mauritius. This is in fact a great problem here and for the last ten years new and old Government are still looking for a education style that will suit all stakeholders.
I think that competition is a killing variables. Since the performance of the teacher is usually measured on criteria such as Absenteeism, performance of students and others he is motivated on only those areas that will hep him to grow within his personal careers.
Am not a teacher am an HR persons but teachers are human being and they need to be reckon for efforts made in detecting other abilities of children.
Helping children to voice out there problems and try to come with solutions is much more of a social work for teachers in this era. We should come up with rewarding system that help teachers to reconcile both the social aspects as well as the functional aspect.

A brilliant move towards addressing social concerns by Aamir. I personally have experienced many such scenarios that are portrayed in TZP.Everytime you see a character on screen, you start putting yourself into the character's skin. I hope that our society changes the view in which it perceives it to be. The real potential of our country's talent pool is still untapped. If looked into, we could well witness a flood of innovation.
Kudos to TZP and Aamir

i along with my children and husband viewed this movie. first of all kudos , at least somebody thought to work for the CHILD and not just use them as child actors to increase the popularityof their movie.
it is the requirement of today to empathize with children.we grown ups have our own world, and wishes and wants, here we ignore and bypass what the juvenile heart and mind demands.

Hi Rahul
Parents always want their children to be successful.,that too in this competitive world. They completely focus on professional goals and achievement without caring for what really intersets their children. Accomplishing professionally alone will not satisfy a person.
Parents should develop the talents of their children.
