parents plz dont get carried away.... it is not question of pressure or no pressure..... evaluate the child potential and accordingly plan course of movement
Hi All I saw the movie last Sunday; it was fantastic, hats off to Aamir Khan for bringing such a Real Topic into peoples mind. And teaching us an important lesson. Anita
Dear friends,

I really havent seen the movie yet. But the snippets and certain reviews does mention that it is unfair to expect all kids to behave and perform according to their parents expectations.

I absolutely agree. Each child has a different personality which is shaped by his/her parents' genetic make-up and environment in which he has been brought up. However, when a parent tries to impose his own expectations on the child without considering the child's aptitude and capabilties, it can only be detrimental to the child's self confidence.

Most parents set their expectations on the basis of prevailing career trends and peer considerations than in an impartial and objective way. Without being offensive, I think many of us as parents do not even know how to understand the deep aspirations or dreams of our kids. We simply dont spend enough time with our children to be able to appreciate any of their qualities.

In my opinion, parents should respect their children for what they are and what they want to be. Spending some quality time and being there to gently guide him at times of confusion should help the child to discover himself/herself and succeed eventually.

Remember, every living organism wants to survive and succeed. Human beings are better endowed, so they will.

Thanks

The problem is that such movies come and go but radical change comes only in severe adverse circumstances. However, from creating awareness point of view, it was a splendid moive. For those interested, here is my published article on the movie-

Dear Rahul
I appreciate that you took this topic... For me yes Taare Zameen par movie moved every parent,Teacher or I should say people who all are related to children directly or indirectly.
Teachers who cant make child grow or learn he or she is good for nothing so at that moment it doesn't matters how superb teacher is in his skills or subject.
Parents should come down to child's level and try to make them learn through love and care they should understand their own child's weakness, psychology and first and most thing is that they should not compare their own child with any one else and not even to their other child as every child has his or her own talent, skills and speed of learning.
Please let me know , If I am right Rahul...

Hi All,
This is really an eye opener topic. We have many thing to pay attention to and learn out of it. Whenever we meet anybody we can grasp the best quality of him or her but unfortunately we see faults and shortcomings. I have learnt the biggest lession in my life that you always get back what you give so be selfish and give the best to get the same in turn.

dear Rahul!
thats a really very good topic that u have put forward.
i was too much touched with the movie.
but to b very honest somewhere i have experienced a fear after seeing that movie.
in the movie the child did have the talent of drawing but that doesnt hold true for everyone...
sometimes u don see in a person that exactly can b called as a talent
wat with them??
in todays worls w/o education wat is the future?
so parents, in order to make things good fot their own child force them to study n all... wats the way out??
indeed a very good lesson but how much of that can b implemented???
regards

Hello Members,
I agree with all of you for supporting the concept of this movie....
i have another say to add to this too:
During our school days our Mentor, our Gods were our Teachers. With this speedy technology age and their salary range.... we need to ask is "Do we have enough teachers to teach our future kids??". I feel the teachers are into a lot where they are "underpriviliged", "not recognised" category.
Kids always support their teachers to be right(teaching wise) in competition to their parents, as most of their time is spent in schooling then at home. So, we need to act very fast in recognising the present and future teachers and stop them on opting for other profession than the teaching profession.
I hope you guys agree with me.

HI FRIENDS
THIS IS A VERY GOOD FILM IN THE SCREEN PLAY ,
AND ACTING IS ALSO VERY EXTRA-ORDINARY,
THIS FILM RECREATED THE AWARENESS AMONG THE SOCIETY...
AND
SOME OF THE GOOD PARENTS ARE ALSO PREVAILING IN OUR NEIGHBOUR HOOD AREAS LIKE ME.....
HEY JUST JOKE YA...
THANK YOU FRIENDS....
SELVAM

TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is one more thing which should be noticed abour AMIR and yet another reason to consider HIM to be great ....and that is that HE did not try to overshadow the child. He was in the background, making his entry only towards the intermission. It INDEED was HArsheel's movie.
the same thing was witnessed in RANG DE....by AMIR. Never did he try to overshadow the new comers.....
SHOULDN'T THIS BE AN EXAMPLE OF DELEGATION......which is easier said than executed....
hats offffffff
regards
