Hi All,
This is Lalitha, presently doing PGDBA-HR .
I need to do a Project on "HR Practices & Organizational Strategies in select IT companies."
I absolutely have no clue how to go about it.
I want to know ,
1) Should go to the IT companies or to the recruitment agencies ?
2) What kind of questionnaires I have to prepare for each element under the topic ?
3) What is the correct way of approaching the concerned HR for the Project .
4)Can I get a sample of a Project so that I can have an idea ?
Kindly advise .
Thank you .

Lalitha

Dear Lalitha,
Could you kindly explain scope of your project?
different IT companies will have different hr practices and organizational strategies.
Which hr practices you would like to study??

any questionaire that you design should focus on level of employee centricity, which would be industry specific.if the industry faces talent crunch you will see high degree. In IT industry there is no derth of talent , however attrition rate is high.( please ignore any recession years to find a balanced analysis). In the IT sector remember hygiene factors like shift timings, leave policy etc also play an important role along side the motivational factors. Also in IT sector trainings play an important role as information and knowledge becomes obselete quite fast.
