Dear Sir / Madam,
This is Anil Gadher from Jamnagar(Gujarat). I am facing problem from my previous Employer. I had joined Indiabulls Securities Ltd on 19 Feb. 2007. After closure of so many branches of securities in all over India i was transferred in Indiabulls Housing Fiannce Ltd with same designation and salary package. I have left this job on 1st Oct.,2007 without notice. I have already sent Employee Clearance Form also. I am trying for reliving letter since one month but nobody responding particularly. I am going to join one of the largest private bank on 10th jan. they require Reliving letter. I have represented my problem to new employer(Bank) but they told your reliving letter is mandatory.
I need your advice can i go for legal action or is there is Law which can help me in this matter. I can pay any penalty but i need Reliving Letter.
please help me !

My dear friend
Approach your past employer talk to them and they will give.
You talk to your ex boss and explain your requirement.
Legal recourse in this case wont help you
You approach the court this month and they will take up the case after 5 years and will the bank take you at that time??
Dont get worked up
be calm
Go and meet your ex employers
They will help you

Hi Anil
As per your problem is concerned,before I suggest you something I would like to know that if you have left without serving the notice period then did you pay for your notice period ....or you just left without information ?
Do you a have a copy of your resignation letter accepeted by the previous employer?

Thank you for responding. Actually i hjave talked with the Area Sales Manager Of Indiabulls Housing Finance Lltd (Ahmedabad) But not got satisfactory reply,. Now onwards i do not know to whom i should talk. Even i have sent mails to helpdesk for help but not got particular responce.

Actully i was working with Liability Sector(Indiabulls Securities Ltd) thenafter i was transferred in Loan dep.. In my branch there is only one person is there who is Team Leader who is handling branch. i was responcible to Team Leader(Loans-jamnagar Branch) and he is responcible directly to Area Sales Manager(Ahmedabad). My joining date was 19th Feb.2007 and i left job on 1st Oct.2007. I have Letterpad of Indiaulls for Resignation Acceptance on 3rd Oct.2007 from Team Leader(Jamnagar Branch) with signature of Team Leader and stamp pf Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd.
will this work ? to new employer

Dear Sir,
I have sent details on your mail id. One of the person who is working with Indiabulls Securities Ltd at Ahmedabad is trying for me for Reliving Letter by using his relations with the Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd. I may come to know status Regarding Reliving letter with his help but i am not sure whether he will success or not. so i am trying from every resource as i come to know.

Dear Sir,
I have already got Appointment Letter from that Private Bank with very good salary package and Designation. I have also consult with HR Department of Bank(Ahmedabad). But i got reply that Reliving Letter is mandatory. Person from HR told me that you need to try to get Reliving Letter.
Sir i have also one question that if i fail to get Reliving Letter what actions can be taken by New Employer(Bank) do they terminate from the services of mine with the bank even after joining ?
is there any way to solve this problem ?

hello anil, i am Vishwa Sehgal the Head Human Resources for an international BPO. I understood your problem. You should simply apologize for not intimating them while leaving and this reason was enough for the company to hold your relieve.
You shall directly talk to the HR of your prev org. If they dont help then legally you are not entitled foe any relieving document. You should give any concrete reason of your leaving which shall be based on human grounds. Without informing while leaving is considered as absconding and the HR will have debate to put forth to hold your relieve. Talk to the HR politely first. If you dont get the relieving letter the current company might terminate you. So relieving letter becomes your sustainance letter.

Dear Freind,
If nothing works i let you know what to do. as you have mentioned that you have letter head of Indiabulls. Go to any cyber cafe or designer and ask them to prepare a letter head like that. after that prepare reliving letter by yourself and put any sign on that. How would your employer come to know that it's original or not. and this will cost you 200-300 only.
