Hello
Are you in HR??
This is not a good practice We cant predict You alone should take a decison
It depends on so many factors
\What is the size of the company ? What is its reputation?
If a Company says that they are not worried about a relieving orders of the previous company, then I would question their HR Practices and what growth they can offr you??
Think
and then Act

dear Muthumani, What u have done is definitely not right, whatever the circumstances. It is a question of trust & tomorrow what is the guarantee that u would'nt do the same to ur new employers.Think for yourself & then only decide.Haste makes waste. Rgds,RGS.

Dear friend, It is advisable to inform the present employer through resignation letter and get relief before joining new company. regards

Hi ,
I recently joined a new company.I have an problem with my last employer.
At the time of reliving, they issued me three letter exp. letter ,final settlement letter and reliving policy letter (all was at company's letter head.). According to reliving policy, i will not contact or work directly or indirectly with client (without any time line like upto 3/6/12 month).
But the issue is my last company's client is also dealing with my new employer and my new employer wants me to work with him because of my experience.I have submitted my all letters to my new employer as well and they knows it.
I want to know is there any legal issue in this senerio against me.
Thanks,
Kavita
