Hi,
I changed my job about an year back (sept 2006) and I had not transfered my old EPF account to the new one during that time. Is it possible for me to close the old account now (i.e., an year after leaving the old job) and get the money? what is the procedure for it?

Hi Roopa,
You can get the money back. You need to contact your previous organisation and fill up the PF withdrawal form and tell them to submit it ot the PF dept , and also ask for acknowledgement slip from them , so that you can followup regarding your withdrawal with PF dept. But it will take around four months for you to get your PF.

Dear Roopa,
You can withdrawn your pf amount anytime may be after 2-3 years also. Procedure is same if you want your pf amount then get the filled form from your past employer and submit that at Pf office.
In addition to it you can transfer your last pf into current with the help of Form 13 duly signed and attested by previous employer and submit at PF office through your current employer.
