Well, what did you undertand with the name of this title, "Human Resources"?
i think, its the same question, which we keep on asking to each other...but real meaning no one knows.....Does organization really knows the meaning or definition of Human Resources, or its just a cost centre for them...and i think, the answer we all knows.
But, my definition for Human Resources goes like this, " Human Resources is the only Resources, who is responsible for successful running of any business, because its the Human resources, who runs the organization and not organization runs them.....it is that asset which determine success in long run.
when all other resources are taken into consideration, then why not "Human Resources"?

You had raised good question but the understanding you provided was really childish.
Look, Any organization to work,there is the integration among all the departments[HR,Accounts,Marketing,service,manufacturing etc..] and this integration bond them to work efficiently and effectivly.
I know that the meaning for the HR has changed in the recent years as people working for this department are not justifying their jobs.In this i may be one of the person.Again it depends on the situation you face with the company.
HUMAN RESOURCE means providing with the man power to the company and making that manpower to work for the organization goals and the HR will handle each and every small thing the manpower requires.And even provide with the solutions to the problems they face.
HUMAN RESOURCE-PROVIDING HUMAN"man power" AND PROVIDING RESOURCES"infrastructure,money,work etc...".
So,never say that you don't understand HR,try to find out more about that.

Human being are also resource to any organization....and so it must be importance, like we give importance to other resources, i am not bifurcated human and resources, its all together, "HUMAN RESOURCES"

this is tulika, very interesting u both have forwarded ur views but i fully agree with chanchal. actually the statement given by chanchal is very true i.e. if their is no human resources then how can the machinery and other department come into effect. it the people or the human resources who work for the success of the company.

also " human resources comes first then the creation of departments and work", even if with out right kind of work we cannot select human resources but again with out people how can a work can be accomplished."

I read Human Resource as Human Re-source. Each of us are fountain head or source of various things in our own way. When a Department of an organisation utilises the source or taps the source to suit its requirements, it gets resourced. Like in the West, when a work is to be done they ask for "able bodies" meaning, require people who can just do what is asked. In our Nation, we also add value to the work that is being done. I am sure this should answer the query why Human Resource!

This idea can be understand by only those people who are actually owner of business or Manager who manage business operation. According to Mr. Chanchal statement Human Resources play important role for successful running of any business accepted but not only human Resources is responsible for successful running of any business because technology play most important role in today competitive Business world.

If a Business Organization have a skilled human resources force but not upgrade technology available with them will Company stand in Competition only on the basis of human resources no it is not possible. Top management of any Company make a strategy in which combine use of technology & human resources to achieve available business opportunities in the Market. Management Department of Business pay money for utilize human resources physical work & Mental work order them to do work according to company policy Human Resources Run under control of Organization.

when a Business Man start a new Business with other country invest money take decision on its own risk that create new job opportunity in the nation which provide better survive & high standard of leaving, Business Person make a Committee Board of Organization to frame appropriate suitable policy for society welfare in low cost business development.

In this process of new business start many people don't know each other before Business organization recruited under single rough company instruct to his human resources to maintain only formal commercial relationship with other employee but human have tendency to attract with other human resources qualities they make informal group in the organization here start transfer views & Ideas in one to another in this process miss -understanding in employee to employee chances of create Conflict between Employee & Employer at end blame game start individually nobody wants to accept miss understanding of miss communication certain unsatisfied demand people of Organization target Business Management not proper in this process individual conflict became business conflict.

According to My Business Point of view Business Organization create new opportunities & sources for society of people welfare, Human Resources of Nation should co- operate with Business Organization & try to resolve conflict at low level which could establish good relation with Human Resources & Business Organization every thing is connected by nature every one needs each other. I hope my thought will be take in positive. if I made any mistake I apologies for that.
