you would required to check your appointment letter for the termination clause and then decide ur course of action. NOrmally, whenever there is termination the employer pays for the onem onth notice period and when the staff resigns it is vice versa. hopefully this solves ur query.

As per your appointment order it states about one month pay or a notice period. Do check ur manual too.See if there are any more clause. The reason for termination should be mentioned. Above all there no company can terminate by word of mouth a written document must be issued with the reason mentioned. Seek a Legal advise and then proceed. Regards Reshma

Dear Sender If your appointment letter says that you will be paid one month salary or will be given one month notice, then employer must have done either of one. However, please note that the reason for your termination has not been mentioned. Unless termination letter is issued, you can not sue against your company also. You can send a formal registered letter to your company seeking the salary and relieving letter. With regards L.Kumar

Even I also terminated from IBM Global Service, Bangalore due to absent for long time. Now I need to know if I ask for Service Certificate will they provide? Even in my offer and warning letters they didn't indicate that once the employee terminated will not entitle for experience and relieving order. Anyhow I will not defend the termination coz its my mistake not to inform my leave. I want to do Executive MBA where they might ask to submit the experience/Service Certificate.
Awaiting for your reply..
