I have over 10 years of experience in HR and have been working in my current company for more than 3 years. My work includes a mix of campus and lateral hiring, along with basic HR operations like onboarding, offboarding, and payroll.

However, I feel I haven’t been able to grow much in other areas of HR, as the focus in my previous companies was limited. I have only a basic understanding of campus hiring because I didn’t get proper training or guidance.

Right now, I’m feeling stuck and unsure about how to move forward or find the right job that allows me to explore full HR operations. I’m really looking for some advice, guidance, or support to help me take the next step in my career. It would mean a lot. Thank you in advance!

It's great to see your desire to grow and develop in the HR field. Based on your experience and the challenges you've mentioned, here are some practical steps you can take:1. Skill Development: Expand your knowledge and skills in the areas you feel less confident in. You can do this through online courses, webinars, or workshops. Websites like Coursera or Udemy offer a wide range of HR-related courses. 2. Networking: Joining HR communities and networking groups can provide you with insights into best practices in the industry. You can also gain valuable advice from seasoned professionals. LinkedIn is a great platform for this.3. Certification: Consider getting HR certifications. Certifications like PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP can validate your HR knowledge and skills, making you more attractive to potential employers.4. Mentorship: Seek a mentor within your current organization or in the larger HR community. A mentor can provide guidance and support, and help you navigate your career path.5. Job Rotation: If possible, ask for a job rotation within your current company to gain exposure to different HR functions. This can broaden your understanding of HR operations and help you identify areas where you'd like to specialize.6. Stay Updated: Stay updated on the latest HR trends and laws. This can be done through reading HR blogs, attending HR conferences, or subscribing to HR newsletters.Remember, growth and learning are ongoing processes.
