Gayathri :)

Hi Gayathri,
Welcome on Board. Let me congratulate you on your new job. You can take further studies based on your interests. If you are interested in "Training and Development" go for ISTD's training. Else if you are keen on getting some additional certifications there are ofcourse couple of institutes that do some certification course on recruitment and retention.
Let us know what is your interests. What are you handling in your current role?
Dos and Donts - Nothing much. Relax yourselves. Take this oppurtunity as learning. Learn as much as you can. If you have done something wrong dont get panik. Ask us. Ask any seniors. Make sure you dont repeat your mistakes.
Try to identify what is expected out of you and try your level best in achieving it. Be open to feedback. Dont criticise anyone. Dont blame anyone.
Rest all are your people management. If you are god at it youwont have much problems. Even if you have you can easily come out of it.
All the Best

please specify in what field particularly are you interested. there are many areas like recruitment & staffing, training & development, payroll, performance management, opertions etc.
since you are already an MBA in HR, what is the nature of the study you are looking at - are you looking at a PHd. in HR or a professional certification in behavioural management. i think you might want to look at meeting a career counselor who would be able to assess your area of interest better and guide you accordingly.
Alternatively, if you are looking at further enhancement of your current role, then please mention the areas that you are wanting to focus.
hope this helps !
cheers !
