After one month, I joined one of the NBFCS and realised it did not suit me well. I decided to abscond and have not gone to the office since then. Now, after 23 days, they sent me an unauthorized absence memo to my address. In that, they told me to submit your explanation within 3 days. What should I do now? Should I send my resignation through mail(I cannot go to the office directly to inform them)? What actions may they take if I do not respond to the letter?

Why should you 'abscond' yourself? If you are not interested, just put your unwillingness to continue by means of resignation letter and get relieved. Now since the company has sent a memo, you should give a reply saying that you are not interested and would like to resign. The matter is closed.

What is your notice period ? If possible serve the notice and get clearance certificate. As it will be difficult for you to get salary and other dues for the unpaid period which you have served.

If it is not possible to serve notice period, as the HR to recover from your dues and give you clearance certificate experience letter etc.

This is a fit case for Termination, in absence of notice period and unruly behavior.

The poster appears to be on probation. If yes and if there's a provision of separation by giving one or two months of notice on 'either side' then it is better to serve the notice period and quit by obtaining the relieving letter. Since you have been marked 'absent' without approval of leave of absence it's better for you to report back by suitably explaining the reason of 'absence' and regularise. When he has realised unsuitability it's better to quit in a proper manner.
