Our HRMS system (a third-party application) allows employees to download or print the Employee Handbook intended for internal use only. When we requested the vendor to make it a read-only option, they attempted but could not find a way to prevent employees from downloading or printing it. Ultimately, they informed us that they were unable to address this issue.
I would like to inquire from the HR professionals in this forum whether their system permits employees to download or print documents meant exclusively for internal use directly from the system.

What is the issue with employees downloading and printing the handbook?
What is the issue with employees downloading and taking a printout of the handbook, which is meant for themselves? Do you think that an employee would repeatedly print out the handbook? Why would they do that? Do you have concerns that the handbook will be misused? How, and why should it be misused? It is true that an employee handbook is an internal document. But if an outsider gets a copy of it, what use would it be to them?
