A law degree is definitely beneficial and a sound understanding of law would help in compliance matters and general administration. Knowledge of the Company Secretary course is not complementary to the HR field and has limited utility, indeed it is the other way, a company secretary with HR knowledge would be in a better position to discharge the duties.
