Hi, my PF claim was rejected citing the reasons: "1) EPS contribution not deducted for the full service period, please clarify" and "2) claim already settled." I only had one employer who deducted PF where I worked for 11 months (Dec 2021 - Oct 2022). I submitted the withdrawal request in April '23. I don't understand these reasons because 1.) I don't have an active EPS account on my passbook, and 2.) I don't have multiple employers—only one employer. 3.) This is the first time I am withdrawing PF. Can someone help me understand the reasons for rejection and what I could do to improve? I would really appreciate it.

Hi, For employees joining after September 2014, without any existing PF deductions, and in cases where the PF wages are above Rs. 15,000, such employees are not eligible for Pension contribution. Even the Pension contribution is credited to EPF only.
In your case, you joined in December 2021 with no previous PF. Also, your PF wages should be above Rs. 15,000, hence the employer might not have contributed to the Pension contribution. Therefore, you need to submit clarification through your employer to the respective PF office.
Not sure of the second reason, "claim already settled."
Please note that when you claim PF in less than 5 years, the PF office will levy interest, and the same will be recovered from your PF amount.

Hello Lakshmi, thank you so much for your response. Would you be aware of how I should move forward, such as what documents I need from the employer and how I should submit them when making a claim again on the PF portal?
