I hope you are having a great time.
I am an IT recruiter and work for Global IT companies. As the year changes so do the responsibilities. Recently I have been asked to hire diverse candidates for US recruitment. I dug into Google and learn what is Diversity and Inclusion but that is not sufficient. I want to actually learn how to find diverse candidates on social media and professional sites like Linkedin, Github and Stackoverflow.
If someone has some tips/ tricks or strings to find candidates on Linkedin please share and educate me.
Thank you in Advance!!

Some of the people from LGBTQIA community put a flag next to their names.
People with disabilities are difficult to locate.
The best option would be to regularly post on LI and let people know that you are looking to hire diverse candidates.
Also, there are lot of groups which you may join.

Fostering workforce diversity is always a challenge. The factors of workforce diversity are:
a) Age
b) Language/Mother tongue
c) Nationality
d) Region
e) Religion
f) Qualification
g) Gender (it includes third gender as well)
h) Specially-enabled persons
g) Skin colour
To begin with, I recommend you do a categorisation of the workforce on the above factors. Once you understand which factors are least represented, you can start recruiting the increase the percentage of that factor. Fostering workforce diversity is an ongoing exercise and every year you need to do the break-up of the manpower and understand which factors merit your focus.
To foster diversity, you cannot rely just on LinkedIn. You need to take help from the job portals popular in the various regions in which your company has offices.
