Hi folks, My friend joined a company as an Engineer, total of 10 no’s joined the company on the same day in August 2022. The management of the company said verbally that, your work/job duration is only 06 months after 06 months we will retrench all of you. The company doesn’t issue any appointment letters.

After completion of 03 months of service, on 03.11.2022 the company management informed, us we are going to retrench 04 no’s out of 10 no’s of staff and the last working day will be 17.11.2022 after working hours for the said 04 no’s of staff. Management has decided to decrease the staff.

My question is, the company is going to retrench the staff, are they eligible for getting one month's notice salary or not? (They have completed 03 months of service out of 06 months period). In case they are not eligible for one month's notice salary. Then, what benefits should be given by the company at the time of retrenchment of staff? SEE STAFF IS NOT GOING VOLUNTARILY, THE COMPANY IS ONLY GOING TO TERMINATE THE STAFF.

PLEASE GIVE VALUABLE SUGGESTIONS.
