Hello,

Personally I agree that the growth in "teaching" will be much less in comparison to what scope the "industry" offers!

Are you looking at HR as just one of the alternatives to a bright career? In fact there could be many options open to us from "Law" to "C.A./C.S." and from "Civil Services" to "Business Management". In this wide spectrum, you have multipilcity of choices of careers.

You need to crystallize your interests, preferences in the background of your objectives in life! May be use should also take aptitude tests and gain insights into your strengths and weaknesses. As a next step, I suggest that you meet a good number of people from as many vocations as is possible, interact-in person, with a career counselor before you make up your mind. I am saying all this as the compatibility of the career with your personality is of vital significance to happiness in your life.

Once the crystallization process is set in motion, many new horizons anbd opportunities will become visible.

I am NOT trying to dissuade you from choosing HR as your career of choice. I welcome women in HR anyway!! All I am saying is that you should familiarize yourself with the lay of the land, match with your strengths and preference and only then equip yourself for a career in that area and then launch yourself.

This advice may appear simplistic-which it is not! It means that you have do a lot of home work before you choose a career for keeps' sake!

If you like to ask more questions, please feel free and shoot all the questions that you may want answers to, before you make up your mind.

Cheers and good luck for search of challenging career. In the end I once agai agree that teaching per se` may not satisfy all your growth aspiration and that you need to do more. If I can help, I will,

Regards
