Normally Notice period or separation clause will be there in the Appointment Order. You are supposed to fulfill that alone. In your case you had served 6 months notice period still you have not received your relieving letter from your employer is not good. You can communicate to your employer through RPAD requesting them to release your FF and relieving letter. In case if your employer fails to respond you may file complaint with Labour Officer of your jurisdiction for his intervention.
