I worked for a humanitarian Agency as national staff in South Sudan for 4 years. At last, my contract was terminated prematurely in the name of no funding, leaving 5 more months to complete my signed one year contract. Gratuity and SSIF benefits were paid but still, I feel cheated.
Now my questions are:
Do I deserve to be paid the 5 remaining moths to complete my one year contract?
Do I deserve what's called severance pay?

Without going through the original contract and the terms relating to foreclosure, it is not possible to give an appropriate answer to the ultimate query.

it is a humanitarian agency which ran out of money.
So irrespective of the contract, what exactly do you expect to do?
If you take them to court and they don't have money, what will the court be able to do?

If on the other hand, it is a large agency that has money but is not allocating it to the project you were hired for, then you will probably success. but it depends on a number of factors, including the exact terms of the contract, which country it was signed and where it is enforceable. I suggest you speak to a lawyer
