Hello learned and respected members of Cite HR. I do need to seek a small clarification and confirmation at your end.
One of our female staff member's salary has exceeded Rs 21,000/- and the six-months ESIC premium contribution is continued on the enhanced gross salary. Now during this contribution period on enhanced salary, she wants to avail ESIC maternity benefit now. Will she be able to avail the benefit?
Please note that she was under maternity leave already for last 25 days on the advice of a pvt medical practitioner. The doctor has given her fit certificate to join temporarily for some days. The staff member now wants to avail the ESIC maternity benefit scheme of 26 weeks after her rejoining now and working for 4/5 days. Is it possible ?
