Hello Everyone, I m currently working in Govt. Service since last 6 years which I joined on 12.02.2016. However, my previous company in which I worked 4 years 1 month I resigned on 07.02.2022 but due to the collection of documents from my Institute I was not able to serve 30 days of notice period I served 25 days but my manager didn't release me earlier so I left without clearance and after joining my govt. service I mailed the company to provide me experience certificate in my favor and they provided me but they mentioned the release date of 15.02.2016 but I joined my current service on 12.02.2016.
My Current Govt. organization didn't do a proper verification that time when I joined but now they are saying this is a case of overlapping of certificates which is illegal as per Indian law and you could not apply for higher departmental post. Regarding this i have approached to my previous company, and now they are saying you had not cleared your dues and outstanding we could not provide you an experience certificate. I told them that i am ready to clear every outstanding and due. But they are not giving better responses and taking too much time since i am trying from last 25 days.
I was not aware this could happen. Please suggest what I need to do. My current organization are saying to change the letter then only you can apply for the higher departmental post while the last date for applying for the post is nearby but the letter cannot be changed in the given time. Please help me I m in big trouble, suggest to me what to do my career will be stopped. Is there any option that I can apply for a higher post in my department?

Please approach your ex-employer by person and explain them your current situation. As per your statement seems 5 days shortfall is there with your ex-employer. Check if they are expecting some payment towards shortfall notice. Fulfill it and get proper relieving order.
