This is not a HR related question. This post would be better posted in a more appropriate engineering or construction forum.

Here is the details of the address and phone number of the relevant authority you could have found just as easily as I did - and I live in Australia, not India!

Mr. John,

In this case, it refers to Labour laws.
In Factory Act, it is necessary to get a stability certificate for all the buildings and it is valid for a certain period (the validity from factory act, not the validity of the certificate per se).

I am assuming the above is what the OP wanted to say, but he has not clarified anything yet.

Hi Saswata,

Thanks for that. I couldn't see any mention of labour laws on the website, and it mostly referred to engineering matters, hence my comment. In Australia we would be looking at Occ Health and Safety requirements and laws to protect staff on building sites. As far as I am aware here in Oz, structural stability is usually assessed several times over the course of the construction, and the engineers sign off at the end to say the building is safe.

Here, under Factories Act, all buildings need to have stability certificate
A new stability certificate needs to be obtained every 5 years
If there is any civil work done, or machinery repositioned or change of use, a new stability certificate needs to be obtained for that particular building
