I have a doubt in HR terms, Please clarify
In the Offer letter notice period mentioned is 2 months. But the employee sends a resignation letter on May 22nd stating that as per the offer letter condition I am going to release this organization's company on July 15th.
After the employee announced his resignation, management came up with a mail after fifteen days Ie., today evening mentioned as w.e.f April 2022 all employees should serve three months notice period.
So, this will be applicable to other employees who are going to apply for resignation in the future or it will also apply to the employee who sent a resignation on May 22nd. ?

Since the appointment order of the employee who resigned on May 22nd contained 2 months notice period, that will apply to him. The communication is all about notice period and the notice period is all about period the period a resigned employee will stay in service. Since this communication has come after the employee has resigned, this communication has nothing to do with him. It will apply to those who may resign in future only.
