Hi, We are a small IT business of 7 employees in India so labour act does not apply to us.

We had an employee go on maternity since Dec 14. We paid her for one month and then she extended her unpaid leave. Came back in April and called it quits on April 20.

In her experience letter, can I write she worked with us from her joining date in Aug till April 20 or should I write she worked with us till dec 14?

during the period of maternity leave the employee is on the live rolls of the firm. We cannot pre-date the termination. It has to be on actual basis.
