Hi, Is there any specific format to add a clause of PoSH in the Appointment letter to be issued to new employees?

Dear Colleague,

THE SEXUAL HARASSMENT OF WOMEN AT WORKPLACE (PREVENTION, PROHIBITION AND REDRESSAL) ACT, 2013 is a Law and it applies to all employees and work places.

Even if you have no clause in the appointment order it will bind on all employees / work places. If you want to add specific clause in appointment order you may mention that:

"You are bound by all Laws of the Land and to be abide by Work Place conduct / Code of Conduct/HR Policy Manual / Employee Hand Book / SOPs and Regulations published then and there and amended as and when occurs/ State and Central Laws / Acts line PoSH without fail and any breach will lead to appropriate actions including termination of employment if proved against you"

You may include detailed PoSH procedure and rules in the Code of Conduct or Employee hand book or HR Policy manual

Dear Colleagues,

This is an Act. No need to mention any separate clause in the appointment letter. only one sentence is enough " All rules and regulations are applicable as prescribed in the Law of Land."

This a mandatory to add PoSH Act., 2013 in the Certified Standing Orders of the Company, hence, no separate clause is required to mention in the Appointment letter.

During the Induction Programme, may be explained to the new entrants.

I have not come across too many employees who are aware of applicable Acts /rules.
Even when new joiners are asked to go through standing orders , they do certify that they have read it but understanding and having read are two different issues.
However suggestions by Mr.VK Sharma are practical ones .
May be HR can do a presentation, periodically for new joiners and imp Acts and Rules
