Hi Experts, I want to know if the government has declared a holiday and a private company decides to give a holiday to staff and in return, they inform employees to work on 2nd Saturday (which is an official Holiday) is this legal?

Secondly, if employees disagree to work on a given Saturday, it will be considered as Paid leave.

What is the solution for such Declared govt holidays in Maharashtra state?

Presumably you have five day working schedule and one Saturday has been made a working day to compensate the loss. It is not clear whether you are working in a factory or office also the terms and conditions of appointment. In either case, objection cannot be taken for converting the Saturday into working day.
