BOCW is applicable, notwithstanding the Shop & Establishment Act registration.

Hi Team,

For office employees Shop & Establishment act is applicable and for Site employees and workers BOCW act is applicable. Hence you need to obtain both licenses (For office S & E registration and for constructing Site BOCW Registration)

Dear Colleague,
For your establishment's Office (Builder's Office) the Shops Act will apply.

In the case of each of your Site where Construction Activity is carried out the BOC Act applies and necessary compliances to be done apart from Contract Labour Act, Interstate Migrant Labour Act, PF Act and so on. When new sites are opened for construction then for each site the BOC Act process to be adhered including Cess Payment under the BOC Act.
