If Employee has UAN through his/her previous employment and if his/her EPF and EPS accounts are settled on the date of joining in the new establishment.
Then,
(i) Is he/she a new EPF/EPS member in the new employment. Will he/she be optional to enroll in the EPF scheme if his/her EPF Wages is 15001 or more.
(OR)
(ii) Is he/she an existing EPF/EPS member in the new employment. Will he/she be compulsorily enrolled in the EPF scheme if his/her EPF Wages is 15001 or more.

He should be considered a new employee and therefore he PF will be optional (except status) if his salary is above 15,000 on the date of joining.
Note, the rule says he has no existing PF account. This was made before the UAN came into effect. So though he has an account, since it is settled, it is same as him not having a PF account
