Wage days calculation on 26 or 30/31 days?
Dear sir/madam i wish to know if the wages for employees are to be calculated on 26 days or 30/31 days? this is required as being a manpower provider most of my employees are in minimum wages bracket and hence if daily wages is calculated on 26 then the gross salary is less if compared to 30/31 days. in case of 26 days calculation is the weekly off not considered as a paid holiday? kindly clear my doubts... br tejasz navi mumbai

Dear all as per govt minimum wages circular wages to be calculated on the basis of 26 day. days in a month: jan 31 days feb 28 days april 30 days query : 1. is contract labour daily wager or monthly? 2. in above mentioned month working days are 27 24 and 26 respectively so you requested to let us know how to split the wages in above cases of contract labour. regards rahul rathore
27 day months - what would be the minimum wages for that particular month?
Minimum wage notification declare wages for daily and for 26 days working wages. for example in state a daily minimum wages in rs: 300/ and for 26 days it is 7800/ including rest days. now my question is if a month having more than 26 days 27 days working than "what would be the minimum wages for that particular month"?. since if the same wages are provided to an employee for working 27 days in the month that will actually make his/her daily wages less than notified wages.
Mw monthly rate is based on 26 working days - is there any gazette or notification which supports this calculation?
The minimum wages calculations released by various state govt s state that the mw monthly rate is based on 26 working days. refer to point 3 on page 8 of the mw notification released by wb govt. in the attachment. does this interpretation mean that there is no pay given for the weekly off / rest day to the employees? is there any gazette or notification which supports this calculation? request guidance on this interpretation of the law.
Esic - 26/27 days instead of month days calculation to cover up minimum wage requirements?
Dear seniors good evening recently i have joined a company and from 15th march 2017 esic is applicable. it is basically a show room and comes under shops and establishment act. all these days they are dividing total salary by 26 /27 days instead of month days calculation so as to cover up minimum wage requirements. now they have agreed to use month days concept ie 30/ 31 days due to which total salary comes below minimum wages so my question is will there be any problem from minimum wages side as it is coming below the requirement. please advice what would be the problems if i follow 30 days concept. thanks kishwar
