Maternity Benefits Coverage

If an establishment is covered under both the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961, and the ESI Act, 1948, any woman employee who goes out of the coverage of the ESI Act due to her salary exceeding the threshold limit under the latter would automatically be covered by the MB Act, 1961.
